Dr. Philip Chahine
DMD, FAGD

Dr. Phil Chahine is a dentist who believes each patient is unique and different, thus requiring personalized and individualized care. Dr. Chahine's philosophy is to treat his patients like a friend in a professional, state-of- the-art, and non-threatening environment. He takes the time to listen to their needs and help them understand the treatment. He is are committed to provide exceptional patient care for optimum health while making you feel welcomed and comfortable.

Dr. Chahine graduated in 2001 from the University of Montreal with a Doctorate in Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree. He completed his post-doctorate advanced training at The Ohio State University Medical Center, earning a GPR certificate. In June of 2007, Dr. Chahine received the prestigious Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinction awarded to only 7% of North American dentists. He is one of the youngest dentists in the country to receive this award, thanks to his commitment to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in the profession. The Fellowship Award symbolizes excellence in the dental profession and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Dr. Chahine is an Associate Fellow of the World Clinical Laser Institute and a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry. He is trained to use conservative Laser therapy in many procedures that would usually require surgery. In addition, he is trained in the D.O.C.S. sedation protocols allowing him to make your visits more comfortable with conscious sedation.

Dr. Phil has participated in research in the area of dental plaque resulting in his work being published. The Dental PlaqueHe undertakes regular postgraduate education classes to stay updated on the latest techniques and materials available in the world of dentistry. In fact, Dr. Phil has accumulated over 750 hours of continuing education since 2002 and he is on track to obtain the Mastership of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD). Dr. Chahine is proud of the time he has donated to the Free To Smile Foundation by traveling to Cambodia to treat the underprivileged. 

Dr. Chahine lives in Bexley with his wife Liz, daughter Leila, son Alexander and their beagle Bonnie. In his spare time, Dr. Phil enjoys skiing, golfing and traveling (and good food...). He is also a huge hockey fan, mainly supporting the Montreal Canadiens Philand hoping they win the Stanley Cup every year! Unfortunately, he retired from active playing due to injuries.
